I offer a different service from traditional accountancy firms, a service designed for technology companies which have different needs from companies in other sectors. I aim to act as a part-time member of the company’s team rather than as an external advisor. Before setting up my own business, I worked in industry for over 10 years, including for a young technology company in the life sciences sector which exported to over 100 countries. I have been running my freelance finance director service for over 7 years and have worked with over 35 technology companies over that period. Through access to a network of partner organisations – eg: payroll bureau, specialist tax advisors/auditors, lawyers, IT support, pensions advice, I can provide additional complementary services that a technology company needs so that you have access to a full range of services but retain the personal touch that I provide.

Pay for the service only as you need it. Service includes bookkeeping as well as accounting, or I can supervise the client’s in-house bookkeeper. Accounts can be run on my own accounting software avoiding the need to incur costs on buying an accounting system before you need to.

I can take over responsibility for the finance function so that everything is done when it should be and you can get on with running your business – typically the services provided could include annual statutory accounts, corporation tax returns and R & D tax credits, forecasts and budgets, quarterly management accounts, VAT returns and SMART grant claims. I have done these many times for my clients and specialise exclusively in technology companies so have the experience that you need.
